This shoulder cloth has chevron designs in supplementary weft and tapestry weave. The purple, orange, green and white silk threads were naturally dyed, and are joined by a length of indigo dyed handspun cotton.The Tai Daeng is one of the many Tai groups who migrated out of Southern China into northern mainland Southeast Asia, in particular Laos and Thailand.
