The geometric patterns in bright commercial threads are typical of Laytu Chin contemporary woven garments that follow traditional patterns.This tunic was made by the weaver Daw Done Saw. It is one of many products that is being made as part of a revival of traditional weaving within Chin communities. In this case promoted by Mai Ni Ni Aung, a Chin cultural activist currently residing in London.
