The Singapore Traction Company (STC) was established in October 1925 by the Shanghai Electric Construction Company Limited. It received a 30-year concession to run trolley buses and motor buses within the town. However, the bus services in the fringe and rural areas were controlled by smaller Chinese bus companies owned by individuals. The badge depicted here is an example of those worn by STC bus drivers.
