This is a call-up letter sent to a teacher who belonged to the first batch of civil servants called up for National Service in March 1967. Civil servants who had joined Government Service on or after 1 January 1967 as well as citizens who had matriculated at institutions of higher learning on or after 1 January 1966 were required to undergo National Service.
