This is a Certificate of Naturalisation granting Singaporean citizenship to Goh Kian Seng, who married Koh Ah Tin just before the Second World War. His work as a sailor did not bring a steady income, so his wife Koh worked as an amah for British families living in Singapore after the Second World War to support the family. They had seven children, one of whom was adopted by another family.
