Gift in memory of Madam Nancy Peh Cheng Neo from her loving family
This is a photograph of Peranakan nyonya, Nancy Peh Cheng Neo (1919 – 1994) who married John Wee Chim Hock. The kerosang rantay seen in this photograph has been donated to the museum and was a family heirloom passed down from Nancy's mother, Mrs Peh Wah Kok née Seet Guan Neo. Up till the late 1970s, four generations of the family including Nancy’s children lived at “Rose Villa” in Geylang, Singapore.
