EZ-Link charms were used to pay bus and MRT fares by tapping a reader at the start and end of journeys, like EZ-Link cards. Unlike cards, they could be hung on mobile devices or keychains, providing easier access. They often featured popular movie or cartoon characters, thus functioning as an accessory as well. EZ-Link charms were introduced in April 2015. This EZ-Link charm depicts Singa the Lion, the mascot of the Singapore Kindness Movement (SKM), waving a Singapore flag. SKM released the charm in collaboration with EZ-Link to commemorate the 2020 National Day Parade (NDP). The charm was distributed to staff in educational institutions in appreciation for their efforts, in line with SKM’s mission to encourage a more gracious society.
