This is a Chinese remittance envelope delivered between the 1960s and 1970s, from a remittance house named Tan Ban Huat (Chen Wan Fa陈万发) at 83 Kim Yam Road. It was delivered through qiaopi (侨批), a private mail delivery system established by early Chinese immigrants in the early 19th century to deliver money and family letters to their home villages in China.
