This is an empty Chinese remittance envelope sent from a Singaporean remittance house named Xiang Ji Bao Hao (祥记宝号). This letter was delivered through a system commonly known as qiaopi (侨批), which was a private mail delivery system established by early Chinese immigrants in the early 19th century to deliver money and family letters to their home villages in China.
