This Eastman Color transparency shows the Silver Chariot of Sri Thendayuthapani Temple (commonly referred to as Chettiars’ Temple) paraded on a street surrounded by worshippers, possibly during a Silver Chariot Procession. An accompanying leaflet in the box of colour transparencies in which this one was kept describes this photograph as “The Silver Chariot of the ‘Chettiar Temple’”.Eastman Color was a range of films developed by the Eastman Kodak Company in the 1950s.
