This Ektachrome colour transparency shows Empress Place along the Singapore River, with a view of Empress Place Building, the clock tower of Victoria Theatre and Victoria Memorial Hall, and the Old Supreme Court Building. An accompanying leaflet in the box of colour transparencies in which this one was kept describes this photograph as “Empress Place Singapore”.Ektachrome was a range of transparency and still films developed by the Eastman Kodak Company in the early 1940s.
