The six costumes are from the play, 120 directed by Ong Keng Sen and produced by TheatreWorks. To mark its 120th anniversary, the National Museum of Singapore commissioned this project in October 2007. The Super PAVAS (personal Audio Visual Aids) of the Future who replace the old workers, are brought in to guide the audiences around the historic monument, its galleries and objects.120 objects collected over 120 years were selected and featured as part of this performance. The costumes White plastic short coat, Purple onesie, Yellow onesie, Red paper pant suit, Green paper pant suit and Grey gown were designed by the noted Japanese designer, Koji Hamai. Both the materials and the style of the costumes illustrate the futuristic approach of the performance. Made of paper, plastic and synthetic fibres, the costumes are also artistic in their appeal - especially the Grey gown which is constructed out of origami-like folded paper units. The text was written by Ong Keng Sen and Robin Loon with additional inputs from Bryan Tan, Kaylene Tan and The Performers.
