The poster shows three battleships, most likely the Royal Navy's dreadnoughts, with the Union Jack clearly shown on the first. The caption, written in Chinese, writes of the British navy crushing German ships and crushing their plot. This was likely a documentation of the sinking of the German battleship Bismarck by the British navy in May 1941. Such posters were used to not only inform the public of the progress of the war but also to unify and keep the morale high.
