This record book belonged to a six-year-old boy who attended the PAP kindergarten in MacPherson. The report book tracked his general progress in kindergarten for various subjects over two years. To prepare children for primary school, PAP branches started low-cost kindergartens during the early 1960s, which became very popular among Singaporean families by the 1970s. The running of these kindergartens was taken over by the PAP Community Foundation (PCF) after it was established as a non-political charitable organisation in 1986 that overlooks the social, educational and welfare activities for the community.
