Isidore van Kinsbergen (1821-1905) was a Dutch-Flemish photographer, lithographer, painter and engraver. He documented archaeological sites in Java and set up the first albumen print processing shop in Batavia, having additionally opened a photo studio in 1860 that specialized in portraits of Dutch colonial officers. In 1862 Kinsbergen became one of the first photographers to tour Siam, accompanying the Secretary-General of the Dutch East Indies to capture Bangkok’s ancient relics.
