This is an instance of a vaccination card against diphtheria issued in the years immediately after Singapore's independence in 1965. Infant vaccinations were issued in stages across a span of 18 months. The main diseases that require vaccination against are tubercolosis, diphteria and rubella. These vaccinations were done at matinal (maternal) and child health clinics across the island. For this particular vaccination, it was done at a clinic on Jalan Bahru (now expunged) in the Pasir Panjang area.
