These Housing and Development (HDB) blocks on Commonwealth Drive, Tanglin Halt Estate, are situated near the former Tanglin Halt Industrial Estate, which housed light and medium industries, and moved out in the late 1980s. The blocks are among the 31 blocks in the Tanglin Halt housing estate which are slated to be torn down under the Selective En-bloc Redevelopment Scheme (SERS), the biggest to date at the point of its announcement in 2014. The HDB blocks featured in this photograph are (from top to bottom): Blocks 55 (slanted), 56, 58, 59, 60, 62, 63 and 64 (partially seen on bottom left) and Blocks 57 (top) and 61 (bottom) on the extreme right.
