The H-shape housing block on Boon Lay Drive, shown in a partially demolished state in this picture, was among the many flats built by the Jurong Town Corporation (JTC) in the 1960s and 1970s, mainly to house workers working in Jurong. The "H" shape of the blocks (Blocks 167-172) from top view is formed via a shared lift system which links two parallel blocks together. The blocks were demolished in 2018 as part of the Selective En-bloc Redevelopment Scheme (SERS).
