This souvenir song album, printed after the war, contains twenty-four songs which were written by the 8th Division Concert Party during their imprisonment in Changi camp during the Second World War. The songs were composed by Ray Tullipan and Slim de Grey, who were part of entertainment units prior to their capture. Concerts, plays, and variety acts were frequently staged in makeshift theatres within the camp to lift morale, and these songs soon became an important part of camp culture.
