This set of medals belonged to Captain John Gouldin Clemetson, who served in the Federated Malay States Volunteer Force for twelve years. Clemetson was interned in Changi prison during the Japanese Occupation, and was heavily involved in 'Changi Industries', which was a series of factories that produced daily necessities for the internees.
