While it depicts New Bridge Road in Singapore, this postcard was sent from Colombo in August 1905. A message on it says: ‘Dear E, I am hoping to get home this time/June/term from Bombay but do not know yet for certain. Love to all. Your sincerely, Arthur.’ Notable features on the postcard include a rickshaw puller, a man with a carrying pole, and a building with scaffolding on it.
