This William Edwards commemorative cup and saucer set was commissioned by Sultan Ibrahim Ismail of Johor. Each cup features the Johor coat of arms and an image of a royal palace. The Johor Royal Family is ruled by the Temenggong Dynasty. They trace their descent to Temenggong Abdul Rahman, who was a key figure in the modern founding of Singapore in 1819.
