A watercolour painting depicting the alley of shophouse row in the late 1960s. Harry Chin Chun Wah (b. 1941) was a founding member of the Singapore Watercolour Society in 1969 and a second-generation watercolour artist known for his sketches in pen, marker, and wash. Whilst the artist painted similar scenes of Singapore River and streetscapes in the 1960s and 1970s, his watercolour technique is significantly different from most of his peers who paint with a transparent wash.
