The Blackwall Dockyard, located on the River Thames at Blackwall in London, built and equipped ships for the East India Company. This print by Robert Dodd based on his original oil of the same scene, shows the 1782 launch of the Bombay Castle, a 74-gun ship of the line built at the expense of the East India Company.
