Wooden clogs, also known as terompah in Malay, are traditional wooden open-toe shoes worn by both the Peranakan and Malay women. The wooden clog consists of wooden base with a hole from which a knob is attached. They were primarily worn in the home for work in the kitchen and on wet surfaces.
