Sir Robert Dudley's Sea Chart of Asia and the Indian Ocean

This is the first English produced chart of Asia, spanning the across the Indian Ocean from the Persian Gulf to the Malay archipelago. It was part of Sir Robert Dudley's sea atlas, Dell Arcano de Mare (Secrets of the Sea) first published in 1646. Singapore is identified in this map as a cape on the southern tip of the Malay peninsula, west of Johor.
