Dutch book of sermons in VOC binding4th edition

This rare Dutch book of sermons with the distinct VOC monogram was intended primarily for the use of the Dutch sailors and missionaries and shows the importance of religion in the everyday operations of the VOC. Although the name on the title page attributes the book to one to a minister of the name Justus Bulaeus (1580-1611), it is believed that the author was his son, Johannes Bulaeus (1595-1650/1). This edition was revised and enlarged by Viglius Cornelius Dominus, whose name is not mentioned except for his initials on the title-page. He added summaries and references to Bible verses and prayers to the original text.
