This 21-inch terrestrial globe was the largest size produced in 1800 by J & W Cary, the map publisher and dominant globe maker of the late 18th and early 19th century. The globe exhibits the tracks and discoveries made by Captain James Cook as well as that of Captain George Vancouver.
