The Olympus Trip 35 was advertised in Singapore in 1970 as the only 35mm automatic camera. Marketed features included simplified focusing and fully automatic exposures.Before the advent of the portable camera in the late 19th century, the taking of photographs was limited to the studio. However portable cameras remained affordable only to the rich until the first decades of the 20th century.
