Finely woven in varying shades of red, brown and white, this colourful waist tie demonstrates the care put into aspects of dress. With the use of artificial dyes in the making of textiles, more colour variation could be achieved than the previous red, indigo and white. Fabrics could also be coloured more quickly allowing for a huge increase in production rates in textile-making.
