Initially starting as a home-based business in 1946, she later went overseas to acquire western dressmaking and other bridal-related service skills. In 1968, she established a boutique, offering a complete bridal service in Tanglin Shopping Centre. Its clientele included brides of wealthy businessmen, politicians, and members of royalty from the region. She was inducted into the Singapore Women’s Hall of Fame in 2017.
