This is a gold floral cluster crafted in filigree work and with several small stones inserted at the centre of small flowers. Butterflies dart around the flowers and leaves. It is likely that these clusters were attached by twisted gold or silver wire to a plain hairpin and used as hair decoration in the buns of Peranakan women. The shopmark Da Xing (大興) is found on the reverse, This silversmith was one of the more popular companies producing silver and jewellery for the Peranakan market.
