A drawing that memorializes the involvement of the 122 Field Regiment Royal Artillery in the Malayan Campaign, this diagram includes all the areas in which they fought during the campaign and their motto” Quo Fas Et Gloria Ducunt” ("Where Right And Glory Lead"; in Latin fas implies "sacred duty"). This is a particularly important historical document. Effectively, the Regiment ceased to exist with the surrender of Singapore. It was never re-formed and came to be called 'The Forgotten Regiment' by its survivors. This artefact is part of the archive of James Steele, Royal Artillery (Field) who served in Malaya from January 1941-February 1942, when interned as a P.O.W at Changi until his release in October 1945.
