This steel helmet was the standard issue of the British Army during WWII. This make was evolved from the iconic Brodie helmet, the first combat helmet that was designed and engineered specifically for the soldiers fighting on the Western Front during WWI. Designed and patented by the Englishman John Leopold Brodie in 1915, the helmet quickly became an iconic, a most distinguishable symbol of the fighting British soldier, which was also adopted and adapted by armies elsewhere.
