Outlines of slipper faces are drawn on this piece of counted thread canvas. Characterised by evenly spaced warp and weft, counted thread canvas was used to adapt designs originally made for silk embroidery for beadwork.The acquisition contains numerous examples of templates, patterns and tools embroiderers used in the making of beadwork pieces.
