This is the 2002 edition of the play Emily of Emerald Hill. The cover image is of the mansion, Oberon, the family home of writer Stella Kon and the imagined setting for the play. Stella Kon is an award-winning Singapore playwright whose most important work was the 1983 one-woman play, Emily of Emerald Hill. She is also a descendent of two prominent Peranakan philanthropists, Tan Tock Seng and Dr Lim Boon Keng.
