This is the progamme of the Prithvi Theatre Festival, based out of New Delhi India, within which the 2004 play Khatijabai of Karmali Terrace was first performed. This Indian play has acknowledged that much of the dialogue and narrative of the play was adapted from Emily of Emerald Hill, one of many international adaptations of the play. Stella Kon is an award-winning Singapore playwright whose most important work was the 1983 one-woman play, Emily of Emerald Hill. She is also a descendent of two prominent Peranakan philanthropists, Tan Tock Seng and Dr Lim Boon Keng.
