This hand embroidered sadri (sleeveless jacket) is a part of male costume in the Indian subcontinent. The jacket is made of velvet, and heavily embellished with zardozi, a form of embroidery which uses real silver and gold wire as thread. This sadri would have been worn by the Muslim Memon community of Kutch and Saurashtra, likely only for special occasions.
