Nan Chiau Girls’ High School was established in Singapore in 1947 with contributions from the philanthropists of the Hokkien Huay Kuan. It was previously known as Nan Chiau Teachers' Training School when it was first set up in 1941. A Report on the Research into Chicken Farming in Singapore is a published report done by the Geographic Society of the school in 1969, when poultry farming was common in Singapore.
