This badge was issued to employees of the Singapore Harbour Board. It belonged to the late Mr Sockalingam Veerappen, who worked at the Harbour Board in the 1930s and 40s. He was the grandson of Mr Arumugam Pillai, a ship builder from the Poigainallur community
