It revolutionised writing habits with the Q-W-E-R-T-Y configuration, which enabled a skilled operator to produce documents faster than by hand. The prevalence of the usage of typewriters at workplaces was representative of the technological advancement in Singapore.This typewriter is donated by St Gabriel's Secondary School and was used by school staff from the eighties to nineties. It is in good working condition.
