This is a variant of the traditional fetah or pheta, a flat topped hat worn by male members of the Dawoodi Bohra communities as part of their traditional costume. This fetah is ring-shaped, meant to be worn atop a cloth cap. This fetah follows the traditional use of gold thread and carries contrasting geometrical and floral patterns. The Bohri fetah varies from the Parsi fetah, a black hard hat, in its use of gold thread, shape, design and construction.
