Soldier's Release Book (donation from Anthony Robert Saint Claire)

The soldier's release book belonged to Robert Arthur Polglaze, who was posted to Singapore about a year after he signed with the Judge Advocate General's section as a 16-year-old. The book contain Polglaze's infantry records, which shows that he was a sergeant when discharged, and had served in India and Singapore. He was posted to Singapore during the latter stages of the Japanese Occupation and was present in the room of the Japanese Surrender.
