This glass snuff bottle has a body of clear blue colour, imitating aquamarine. The bottle is carved on the shoulders with lion masks and ring handles. Glass was a popular material used for snuff bottles due to its versatility. Bottles in a dazzling array of colours or in imitation of precious stones could be created.
