This passbook was issued by the Post Office Savings Bank (POSB). POSB was made a statutory board in 1972 and part of the Ministry of Finance in 1974, and was instrumental in the development of Singapore’s infrastructure through its early years of post-independence nation building. It has since been acquired by the Development Bank of Singapore.
