This is a navy blue suit consisting of a V-neck blazer with padded shoulders and two breast pockets decorated with gold buttons, and a matching flared skirt. The silhouette is typical of the 1980s. This suit was part of a collection designed by Mr Andrew Gn for one of the contestants in the Miss Tourism Singapore pageant in 1986, who was eventually crowned the winner.Mr. Gn is an internationally renowned Singaporean designer based in Paris and has his own haute couture line, Andrew Gn Collections, which was first launched in 1996. Fans of his label include the late Princess Diana. Mr. Gn was a former student of the prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. His collection can be found in various high-end departmental stores in New York and London.
