This pant suit was designed by the late Italian fashion designer Gianni Versace. This label together with other famous brands such as Giogio Armani, Chanel, Krizia and D&G were very popular in Singapore from the 1980s onwards. As Singaporean women moved up the corporate ladder, their economic and spending power increased so they could afford luxurious goods. They were thus more willing to spend on designer clothes to reflect their wealth and status.
