This ladies' wedding tunic or 'kebaya panjang', is tailored with black velvet embroidered with flower sprigs of raised work of twisted gilt metal thread. These are embellished with gold-coloured sequins, with a foliate border and cuffs of the same. The kebaya is an open tunic with long sleeves, a collarless neck, front opening and is gently shaped to flatter the figure. It is fastened in the front by a set of three leaf-shaped or jewelled brooches usually connected by a chain.
