This is a cotton top possibly worn by Peranakan Chinese men. The design on this top is simple, consisting of parallel strips of geometric patterns running down the centre of the front. This is in contrast to the kebaya, which is worn by the women. Kebayas usually come in a larger array of colours with several kinds of motifs. These include flowers and birds among others.
