This is a red colour belt used to hold a sarong in place for the wearer. The sarong is a large length of fabric, wrapped around the waist and can be worn as a kilt by men, or as a skirt by women. The fabric used could be batik textiles. The length of fabric is usually sewn together at the ends to form a tube. The wearer then stepped into the tube and by folding the excess cloth of the tube over itself, tightened the tube into a skirt.
